Understanding DMV Registration
The MSO/MCO is the manufacturer's certificate proving the origin and ownership of your vehicle. It's similar to a birth certificate for your machine. When you take this document to the DMV along with:
- Proof of insurance (required in most states)
- Valid driver's license or motorcycle endorsement
- Payment for registration fees and taxes
The DMV will issue you a title in your name, license plates, and registration. Requirements vary by state, so check with your local DMV office for specific requirements.
